Philanthropy

When Jesse was four years old her best friend, Mallory, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a degenerative lung and digestive disease. At that time, the average life expectancy of a person with CF was eight years old.

As soon as Jesse discovered Mallory’s diagnosis, she decided that it was her responsibility to find a cure. She was seven years old and loved to sing, so she created a musical revue called “Sing for a Cure” to raise money for CF research. Since the creation of Sing For a Cure, Jesse has performed the revue throughout the country and has recorded five CDs at Universal Music, with all proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Jesse’s passion for writing translated into novels and original songs. Seeing Mallory struggle with this disease every day and remain courageous and passionate about life inspired Jesse to be an ambitious, hard-working and positive person.

Mallory passed away on 11/15/2017, just two months after receiving a double lung transplant. She was twenty-five years old. Whatever Jesse does, Mallory has been and always will be her driving force. Every CD recorded and every book written, Jesse donates a portion of the funds to CF and now to transplant rejection research. Her original song, “Clear Lungs” was written- with Mallory’s help- to share Mallory’s story with the world and to raise awareness about Cystic Fibrosis and transplant rejection.

Since Jesse’s first performance of Sing For A Cure, she has raised over $100,000. Jesse plans to continue to sing and write for a cure until the day CF stands for Cure Found.
